If you haven’t tried the vegan bucket from Herbie Butcher’s Fried Chicken in South Minneapolis, get thy booty in line or online pronto!
This plant-based twist on the KFC classic comes in four sizes, but we usually go for the medium bucket with four crispy seitan wings and breasts and two dreamy biscuits with maple butter served on a bed of tater tots. Our go-to sides are creamed corn with faux bacon (this is the Herbivorous Butcher team we’re talking about, after all) and mashed potatoes with gravy—and we mix up our dipping sauces (ranch, Buffalo, Nashville hot) to match our mood.
Hours are limited — Thursday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. — but boy is it worth it. 🤤
