Glass Pumpkins Take Over the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

Yet another reason to catch the fall blooms

Heads up, pumpkinheads! 🎃 The Arb Glass Pumpkin Patch is back at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska. The three-day fundraising event continues through Sunday, September 11, in the Snyder Building and surrounding gardens. More than 4,000 handblown glass pumpkins are for sale, with proceeds benefiting both the artists and the Arboretum. This year’s crop features delicate works by 11 glassblowers in the Midwest and California, including Kit Paulson, Aaron Baigelman, Shannon Jane Morgan, Amanda Cosgrove Paffrath, Matthew Urban, and Michael Amis.

Reserve your tickets online and time your visit to a glassblowing demonstration, scheduled every half hour from 10 a.m. on, or meander through the grounds at your own pace. The Annual Garden is at its peak right now and will remain there until the first frost. There are sawtooth sunflowers in the wildflower garden and winterberries and white turtleheads along the bog boardwalk. A lovely time to visit no matter how you tackle it.
