Reasons to Love Minnesota No. 9: XIAART

Little Mekong lands a charming new art gallery

XIAART gallery and shop in St. Paul’s Little Mekong business district is devoted to works by talented Southeast Asian and Twin Cities artists and makers. The grand opening show included hauntingly aloof watercolor paintings by Moua Thin Productions, stylish Hmong-inspired bow ties and cufflinks from XIXOmenswear, glittery peg dolls and hand-painted Hmong signs by Almoua, and the colorful pom pom-embellished pencil drawings of Evie and Thao.

Swing by any Wednesday through Sunday to take a peek at the lovingly curated space, then hop one block over to Cheng Heng to feast on Cambodian-style curried fish, tangy larb salads, and filling noodle soups.
